These events are planned for troops in our communities. They are not run by Council and are planned and organized by volunteers or by a troop within our Service Unit.

Register as soon as possible so the organizers can prepare in advance to make sure the event is successful. Poor response can lead to cancellations.

Troops should register one time (if possible), provides one payment, and provide supervision for all troop attendees according to the instructions and scout:adult safety ratios, see Event Policies. If your troop is in need of additional registered adults reach out to the Service Unit at su402team@gmail.com, we can usually provide support.

Definitions of activities

  • TROOP: the troop registers one (1) time, provides one (1) payment and is responsible for providing supervision according to safety ratios. All who attend the event must be MEMBERS (see below) and will be checked in our membership database. Most of our activities are designated as TROOP activities.
  • INDIVIDUAL (Parent Supervised): if only one (1) scout from a troop is interested, they may register individually and participate without their troop. They must be accompanied by an adult responsible for them.
  • FAMILY: the troop can choose to attend the event as a troop (leaders are responsible for registering, collecting payment from families and submitting one payment) or the troop may choose to participate with their families (families register and pay independently and are responsible for supervising the scout at all times). This is not a drop off event.
  • MEMBERS: only Girl Scout MEMBERS (those who have officially become Girl Scouts through membership) may attend the activity. No family members or siblings who are not Girl Scouts are allowed due to insurance regulations.
    • SCOUT – the SCOUT is a Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior or Ambassador.
    • ADULT – the ADULT is a Girl Scout Adult Member.
  • RECRUITMENT: Activities that pertain to recruit new members. Non-GS Families are welcome!
  • LEADER/VOLUNTEER: This activity has been designed specifically for our leaders and assistant leaders. You must have ROLE listed officially in the membership database as leader or assistant leader to participate.
  • VIRTUAL: This activity has been designed specifically for online classes. Most are ZOOM and FREE. Can be a family, troop, or individual.
