Council Fund-raisers in a nutshell:
There are two product programs each year: Fall Product and Cookies. It is the responsibility of troop leaders to offer the programs to all families and to encourage participation.
Why do we participate?
This is how we support our local camps, offer membership to those who are in need, provide programs and lower cost activities for our girls and troops, and provide resources for our leaders and leadership teams to use throughout the year. Additionally, girls receive funds from the programs for their own activities, projects, badges, and troop plans.
Troops that are interested in having additional money-earning activities are required to participate in both of council’s product programs (fall product and cookies).
Both Programs are run by Volunteers in our Service Unit:
This could be adult members, leaders, co-leaders, or even older girls to assist with both programs. Without these volunteers we would not have successful programs nor some of the Community events. Consider volunteering with the su402 Team.
Contact Council’s Product Program with any questions at 855-456-8347 or productprogram@girlscoutsgcnwi.org.

Blackout Dates & Highest Awards
Additional Fundraisers & Money-Earning Projects
Troops that participate in both the Fall Product and the Cookie Programs may have extra Fundraisers. Money-earning projects cannot take place during the blackout months of October, January, February and March. Those dates are reserved for Council Fundraisers.
Highest Awards
Girl Scouts who need to earn funds to support their Bronze, Silver or Gold Award Projects must participate in the Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie programs, selling the minimum number of cookies and fall product (see below) as their first money-earning activity.
There is no minimum required level of participation unless the individual, troop, or group is asking for financial assistance and/or wanting to do another money-earning activity. In these cases, the minimum each girl must sell is defined as:
- a minimum of 12 candy/nut products OR
- a combination of both for Fall Product and four magazine subscriptions
- AND a minimum of 30 packages of cookies
