There are many ways to camp from Day, Troop, Outdoor Programs, Resident Summer, Rent a Camp, etc. Research what fits best for the troop. At least one adult member must be CPR/First Aid trained and one adult member must be Outdoor Module trained. See Volunteer Essentials and GS Learn for more information.
su402 CAMPING PROGRAMS
Su402 offers multiple types of outdoor experiences from overnight camping/camporee, council camps, local camps, or off to hike at Devils Lake or Eagle Cave. No Trip and Travel Application is needed when at a council or approved campgrounds.
COUNCIL
Many of the outdoor programs that are run through our council are facilitated at council’s camps. No Trip and Travel Application is needed since this is arranged through Council. To learn more about the camps in our council visit HERE.

We have many neighbor councils and camps. Check them out! When registering, call the council and inform them you are from GCNWI. Troop numbers are used multiply times throughout the country.

You don’t always need to have your outdoor program events, day, night, or weekend camping at a Council facility. Forest Preserves of Cook County and many YMCAs have local sites within reach. If staying for a night a Trip and Travel Application is required.
